Veterans Day is known as Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom. In honor of this, Findmypast is extending Remembrance Day to a full weekend of free access to EVERYTHING on its website. This comprises all military records, including 11,400 newly added records, their newspaper archive, and the 1921 census.
Free access to Findmypast begins on Thursday, November 7th, and ends at 4 p.m. PST on Monday, November 11th. A free account is required to view records at Findmypast.
As a benefit of membership, Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society members have unlimited access to Findmypast records at the Sahyun Genealogical Library located at 316 Castillo St. in Santa Barbara, California. The library is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., most Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and the 3rd Saturday of each month (excluding August) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
