Maybe your ancestor was an early settler in California before it became a state. If any of these situations apply to you then you might be eligible to earn a California Pioneer Certificate.
This unique SBCGS members-only program is in partnership with the San Diego Genealogical Society. It honors pioneers of the State of California who helped shape its future by offering ancestral recognition certificates. From early pioneers who settled in California before statehood to those who experienced some of the state’s historical events, each has contributed to its historical legacy.
