If you will be seeing family during this holiday season, consider interviewing them to add context and richness to all those dates and documents. Ask three questions:

- “Who influenced you most?”
- “What’s a memory you never want to forget?”
You will thank yourself for this!
Use your cellphone’s voice recorder or video camera to record them so it will be more conversational and less intimidating. Afterward, you may want to use an AI tool to easily transcribe the recording into text for your written stories. But don’t discard the recording! Keep it with your photos and digitized documents. And, of course, make sure it is backed up.
