Griffith’s Valuation – What it is and how to search it

Today I learned about Griffith’s valuation:  Griffith’s Valuation was a boundary and land valuation survey of Ireland completed in 1868

The valuation records offer detailed insights into 19th-century Irish property, occupiers and local changes, providing valuable data for family history, economic studies, and understanding historical social structures.

Tithe and valuation records are some of the most valuable records in Ireland, especially with the loss of most of the 19th Century census records.

You can search it on the National Archives of Ireland website.
