Mortuary Record

Mortuary record books were scanned from the actual funeral record books. The earliest records were from McDermott-Crockett Mortuary which held books from L. E. Gagnier, dating from 1911 to 1971, and J. C. Hanna 1950-1969.  These books were donated to the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society and are on the shelves at the Sahyun Genealogical Library.

  • C.T. Holland Mortuary (1924-1927)
  • Haider Mortuary (1923-1944) – Two pages for each record; the 2nd page is the Coroner’s report when applicable.
  • Welch-Ryce-Haider Mortuary books from 1944-1976 were loaned to the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society for digitizing and indexing.
