From 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. we will have a table at the big 1925 earthquake centennial commemoration downtown. Look for our table in the La Arcada Plaza (1114 State Street) near the Santa Barbara Historical Museum’s table and other organizations! We will be promoting our 1925 earthquake exhibit and the Society.
Day of Remembrance, June 29, 2 p.m.
A nondenominational service will be held at Santa Barbara’s Old Mission, 2201 Laguna St, including an initial public display of a tile plaque design to be mounted later on City Hall, a mayoral address and reading of a City Proclamation marking the centennial event, and comments by other dignitaries and the gathered public.
