Attend Meetings & Classes

All Society events are open to the public and at no cost, unless noted otherwise.

Our monthly meeting is on the third Saturday of every month (except August) and open to everyone.

First Presbyterian Church, 21 E. Constance Ave., Santa Barbara

  • 9:30 a.m. Refreshments & Special Interest Groups (in person only)
If you can join us in person, we gather for refreshments and social time. This is a great way to get to know other genealogists, and you might even meet someone who shares an ancestor with you!

You can also join a Special Interest Group (SIG) for small group discussions about a variety of topics including technology, writing, DNA, and more.

  • 10:30 a.m. Membership Meeting (in person & Zoom)
Hear about what is happening with the Society, including membership, outreach, upcoming events, and more.

  • 11:00 a.m Program (in person & Zoom)
A nationally known genealogist is the featured speaker.

Whether you join us in person or on Zoom, there is plenty to enjoy and enrich your genealogy education. If you can’t make it to the live presentation – or if you need a refresher later – a recording of this webinar will be available for a limited time in the Members’ section of our website.

Registration is required to attend Sayhun Library classes and Zoom events, even for members. Classroom attendance is limited to 23 people. Zoom attendance is limited to the first 100 attendees.

Registration links are posted with each event. All meeting times are Pacific time zone. Event registration closes when an event begins, so please register early!

By registering for any of our events, you agree to receive emails from the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society. You can unsubscribe at any time.
