Pietro "Peter" Bardi Casaroli was born on 29 August 1880 in Bardi, Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy to Domenico Casaroli and Elisabetta Dellapina. Peter immigrated to the US on 18 June 1904 aboard the ship, La Savoi, and arrived in Ellis Island, New York City.
He married Rosa Sabini (daughter of Stephano Sabini and Eulalia Fantanini, born on 25 December 1881 in Parma, Italy) in 1 June 1907 in Manhattan, New York, New York. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Orange, New Jersey. Their first child, Silvio, was born in Orange, New Jersey in 1908. By 1910, they moved to Santa Barbara. Peter and Rosa had three more children, Mario, Elizabeth, and Emma; in Santa Barbara.
Peter became naturalized on 6 December 1918 in Santa Barbara. Peter started as a farmer in Santa Barbara and then owned a business of selling and delivering fruit and produce. He worked on the Jordano, McCaughey, and Dr. Horace Pierce ranches. They lived in Hope Ranch, Goleta, and Santa Barbara. Peter passed away on 14 December 1960 in Santa Barbara and Rosa Sabini Casaroli passed away on 31 March 1969 in Santa Barbara. See obituaries here.
Guiseppe "Joseph" Casaroli, Peter's brother, immigrated to the US with Peter in 1904. Joseph was born in February 1872 in Italy. He also lived in Orange, Essex County, New Jersey before moving to Santa Barbara. Joseph married Johanna and had two children in Italy. They had four more children in New Jersey. He worked as a confectionary in New Jersey and Santa Barbara, but later became a gardener. He also served in the military in 1915. He passed away on 25 October 1935 in Santa Barbara.
