Benefits of Membership in SBCGS
General membership meetings –held monthly on the third Saturday (except August) at 10:30 AM, at First Presbyterian Church, Constance and State Street. Guest speakers, panels, demonstrations and reports on the latest activities of the Society. The meetings are preceded at 9:30 AM with a Help Group for Beginners, a German Special Interest Group (SIG), a Computer Help Group, a DNA Study Group, Jewish Genealogy group at 9 am and sociability and refreshments. Check events calendar for particular meeting details.
The Book Nook -- sales table with supplies and books in the library and at meetings.
Subscription to Society Publications -- Tree Tips our monthly newsletter and Ancestors West, published quarterly, providing the latest news on genealogy, articles of genealogical interest, resources and special projects of the society.

Over 600 CD-ROM disks -- loaded with genealogy research material, databases of indexes of Santa Barbara vital records, extracted cemetery lists, naturalizations, mortuary indexes and newspapers
